#9 He Doesn’t Introduce You To His Friends
If you’ve been dating for awhile but he still hasn’t introduced you to his friends, he’s just not that into you. He may have excuses galore, and it’s not a necessity for you to meet the family too soon, but if you’ve been dating two months and haven’t met the friends, then he’s hiding you.
#8 He Never Sees Your Texts or Gets Your Voicemails
Now, ladies, no one is saying you should get needy and demanding by sending tons of texts and voicemails. However, if he always says “Oh, I didn’t see the text,” or “Oh my phone died,” or “Oh, for some reason I didn’t get your voicemails….” that’s extremely shady.
#7 He Won’t Use Your Name
It’s fine to use pet names. In fact it can even be cute. The problem comes in when he never uses your real name – you’re always “honey, baby, sweetie, and babycakes.” If this sounds like your man, you should probably listen closely, it may be that he’s trying to manipulate and placate you. Demand to be treated like a woman, not a five-year old.
#6 He’s a Little Too Okay With You Getting the Check
We’re all for going Dutch and even paying for dinner and a movie for a guy. That’s what liberated women do. Besides, the cost of dinner and a movie on a Friday night could be $75! However, if you’re dating a guy who lets you pay every time and seems to have a sketchy job or lack of one, he might be using you. If he lets you pay all the time AND does any of the other nine items in this list, dump him.
#5 He Won’t Put Down His Cell Phone
Are you dating a guy who is always texting? Does he always have a phone to his ear? If he can’t respect you enough to not text while your’e talking to him or having dinner, then he’s not into you anyway. This is doubly true if he doesn’t want you to know who he’s talking to, and is touchy and defensive if you say “who was that?”
#4 You Know Nothing About Him
Does your boyfriend make you feel like you’re prying if you ask him questions about his family, his childhood, his favorite movies and his job? There’s nothing wrong with wanting to know a person better. People normally love talking about themselves. If he sighs and doesn’t want to reveal anyhting and makes you feel nosy, then he is not the one for you.
#3 He Can’t Commit to Future Plans
We’re not talking about marriage here, we’re talking about a guy who can’t commit to going on a date on Saturday night. If your guy never gives you a firm commitment to go out, it’s a safe bet that he’s keeping his options open. If he feels a need to keep his options open, then he’s just not feeling it with you.
#2 He Doesn’t Like Your Friends
If he doesn’t like your friends, you should probably breakup. Boyfriends come and go, but friends are forever! This is especially true if your friends don’t like him. If they’re seeing red flags, you should heed their advice. That’s what friends are for!
#1 He’s Still Hanging Out On Dating Sites
We don’t advise you to obsess over your man’s Facebook page, but if he had a profile on a dating or hookup site like Match, FetLife or Tinder, he shouldn’t be actively trolling for women unless the two of you agreed to be non-exclusive. If he says he isn’t using his profile anymore but there’s recent activity, then he is once again keeping those options open. Or he’s a player. Either way, you need to move on.
