Low fat food is ubiquitous in the grocery store, but these foods are mostly unhealthy. In addition to dangerous additives, low fat foods often remove the good fat, like omega-3 fat acids. Losing these compounds can speed up aging. Healthy fats keep your skin supple and boost your heart and brain.
Bad news for fans of sweets: those donuts are just as bad as hanging out in the sun while smoking a cigarette. All of these activities increase wrinkles. When blood sugar is high, glycation occurs, causing damage to the collagen.
